The Story of Collapse

In 2025 I worked on an animated collage piece that spanned across three large screens for solutions journalist Angus Hervey and his TED talk for Humanity Reimagined.
I worked alongside Angus remotely to collaborate on a composition that could symbolically compliment the subject matter of his speech. The talk began discussing some of the ways in which society and the world as we know it has been collapsing. Slowly we reveal imagery of weaponry, destruction, power, and struggle, all of which follows the path of a dark, splattered shape that binds them together. In the second half we push forward to reveal images of progress. Peace efforts, effective acts of protest, scientific discoveries and advancements, all of which branches off of a root system that reveals itself as a flower, symbolic of the healing cycle of collapse and progress, destruction and growth.
