Amplified at Illuminarium
For seven months in late 2024-2025 I had the pleasure of working with Rolling Stone, through the incredible studio Good Company, on an hour-long journey through rock 'n' roll history that showcased over a thousand photos, hundreds of videos, and 1,300 Rolling Stone magazine covers. The exhibit spanned eight chapters, guiding visitors from the eras of vinyl to digital downloads, featuring iconic artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, and contemporary stars like Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar. The experience was hosted by the Illuminarium in Las Vegas.
My role included experimentation with style and design with the guidance of my amazing art director Jenni Yang, executing engaging animations that brought the archival imagery to life while complimenting the music throughout multiple chapters of this exhibition, as well as tag teaming alongside many other talented animators to support background graphics, titles, timing, and compositional needs.

This is perhaps the largest piece of animation I've been able to work on, which was a big challenge and a lot of technical troubleshooting. I had such a positive experience alongside the Good Co. team who were always able to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot complicated problems. I learned so many good lessons from this project and I'm very grateful for the experience.
